How will "How I Met Your Mother" Evolve? (4) - Special Edition

Today I wrote a special edition, cause we are going to a 3 week break. The next episode will be aired at the 19th of March. So, to get a view on each and every person I will show you a prognosis:

Robin:
The break-up'er ?
Robin and Ted, never meant to be?
The first part of season 7 had a huge focus on Robin. A bit to big if you'd ask me. We start of with Kevin. He was a nice guy in my opinion. But Barney destroyed it, while also cheating on Nora in "Tic Tic Tic". Later we heard that she was pregant with Barney's baby, but it was false alarm. Then Kevin proposes, unproposes and they finally break up.
Suddenly we are there where we were 5 years ago, and keep Jessica's advice "Robin is your problem" in mind; to get it clear Ted asks if she loves him...but she denies. A necessary step. Even more necessary was it, that she moved out and was, at least for the last episode, in the suburbs. So is she ready for something serious? In my opinion she now is. Always being the one not be ready was complicated for her. Now she is. There is only the need of the right guy. I always thought that Barney and Robin are really the ones who belong together and they will get there in my opinion, sooner or later. If that's the case Robin will try to break the relationship between Barney and Quinn and hopefully be revealed as the bride. That's also my guess for the season 7-final.

Barney:
Quinn or Robin?
Barney had a very hard time too. He got together with Nora, cheated on her with Robin and finally broke up with her for Robin. But Barney already has a new target...Quinn. We met her in the episode the "Drunk Train" and personally, I think it'll be the first very serious relationship but they won't marry. It's too, well, unfitting. I have two possible endings in mind:

Robin and Barney, will the marry?
1. Barney dumps Quinn for Robin and they propose at the season final.
2. Barney proposes to Quinn at the end of season 7 but we see in a flash forward that Robin is the braid and in the next season we'll see how that happened.

So not much more to tell. It seems pretty predictable, but the authors played with us so often, that you can never be sure and maybe there is another girl involved, maybe even the mother, who knows? I also have a hunch that we'll see more of his family and even his sister Carly.

Lily and Marshall:
The constant in HIMYM?
If there is one constant over the last years if you look on the characters love-life, then it is the relationship between Lily and Marshall, that's also why I listed them as one. But at the moment there is only one theme to cover: There is a baby on the way!
Will everything go right? What's his name? That are questions we are looking forward two. But wait there is more...the slap-bet is still on and Marshall has some left! And maybe even some fights between the couple? Possible, but it was always fine to have something stable and I appreciate that.

Ted:
Just the "WAY TO THE WEDDING?"
Possible mothers everywhere?
Ever since, Future-Ted said he met the kids mother at a wedding and I think we all can say it'll be Barney's wedding, I started looking for everything that could be connected to it. Who are the guests? Can predict who the mother might be? But one thing became a problem for me. Every relationship that Ted would start became lame. "It can't be the mother, move on!", I thought. But now, since the wedding is far away and we still have a lot of time to wait for it, I began to think, what will Ted do in this time. The last episode gave a hint to that. He left his flat and moved on. Where is he moving? There is one answer. His house, the place where he will saddle down forever. We are going to hear it's story, how and why he decorates it, even a story of the couch is possible. Of course his job is also playing a role. In my opinion we are not close to the end but we are getting closer...almost.

As mentioned we have a 2 week rerun. That means only "Who is the mother?" on sunday and a new article when the promo is released. Hope you enjoyed it, I would be thankful for a feedback.

HIMYM - Karma 7x18 Review

Barney and Quinn, the couple of season 7? Well, after Robin and Kevin there had to be something new and we are kind of close to a real deal, but from the beginning. We start of with Future Ted, who recaps what happened in 2012 so far. And then showing Barney and him in a strip-club. Suddenly they meet Quinn as Karma, her stripper name. Barney tries to get a date, but Quinn sees only the money. When he comes back the next day for the "date" he spends 900€ and a Rolex.
Is that Quinn?...Yes it is
Ted meanwhile tries to do something with Robins old room. He tries a lot of weird stuff, like pottery etc. Robin moved to the suburbs and tells us her feeling about it through a diary. The main impression is, that she doesn't like it there, but Lily and Marshall either. And as there wasn't enough for that, Ted moves out of his own flat, to move on, Lily and Marshall get back in. Finally Barney gets, of course a date with Quinn.

Who is the mother? (3)

Who is the mother? An interview with the actor paying Ted's son, David Henrie

The kids, the only actors who know who the mother is...
Today I'll say a little something about an interesting interview I found recently. You may heard of some critics saying, that the authors are always changing their mind on who the mother might be. But well, I always denied it, saying that they shot a secret scene with the ending several years ago.
But they asked the executive director and he didn't know something about it. But sources were telling, that at least 1 cameraman and/or the director had to be there. As a matter of fact, I was disappointed, but now I read an interview with David Henrie (who is playing the son) and "the Insider" about the ending. So without further ramblings the interview:

Insider: It's funny because while you are growing up, How I Met Your Mother has kind of frozen you and Lyndsy Fonseca in time. Is it true that when you guys filmed that opening in 2005, you also filmed scenes for the series finale so it made chronological sense?
David: That is true. Yup! Everyone always drills my brain for that. It was just me, Lyndsy and the two showrunners. They rolled the cameras and literally evacuated set. Once everyone left and it was just us four, they told us what they thought would happen. We shot it and signed our lives away, so I won't be disclosing anything, but we shot what could be the ending to the show.

Insider: Without risking your life, do you think fans will be happy with the ending?
David: 100 percent! It's a great ending to the show. It's solid and well-thought out from the very beginning. We'll see if they end up going with it, but I think fans would really appreciate the ending.[http://www.theinsider.com]

Well first things first. There was really a final scene, that's good and for all those who said there wasn't, here is your proof! So they had a plan all over...and another "I told you so" for those how said that they would change their mind after every season....Ok enough for that and lets get serious again. Do we get any new information about the end? The insider asked Henry if he thinks that we're going to like the ending. He says 100%...wow, that is a statement, If it's really worth what he says I'm really excited, so far we have 1 1/2 wonderful seasons in front of us...and some theories, which are not destroyed yet...Stay tuned for the next episode and my question for you: Do you personally think they have found a fitting end?

How I Met Your Mother - Karma 7x18

The new promo is out and that means a new episode on Monday!(as always 8/7c CBS).
Roses for Quinn, the stripper?
So, where were we? Robin moved out because Ted had still feelings for her. So where is Robin moving? That will be part of the story and I think I already know the answer...
And now the main plot of the episode the Barney and Quinn. She works in a strip-club,
can this work out?
And did Barney really not recognise her all the time? Well a lot questions, but a funny episode I guess. Tell me your opinion on Quinn below and watch the promo ;)

How will "How I Met Your Mother" evolve? (3)

The Ted-Robin story, over? Forever? Lets recap the last movements in their relationships. Robin met Kevin, her therapist. They got together and began to get serious. But then Barney appears and Robin has to decide. But this decision was kind of heavy. First Robin thinks she is pregnant. But after testing herself, she learns that she cannot be, she even cannot get children. Sad episode, but in the end we see Ted, who tried everything to cheer her up. (Was a hint that he is still in love with her). That episode was one of the best of this season and is always a good choice for a re-watch. But well, she was not pregnant and so she stayed with Kevin.
Ted and Robin - the end, finally
It showed up that the "not-having-kids"-thing was worse then she thought. Because after proposing, Kevin unproposed and even broke up with her. And finally there is Ted confessing his true feelings for her. After all it was not meant to be. It was too predictable. They ruined a first try and now want to go for a second? That could not go right and it didn't. To prevent any new misunderstandings and also not loving him back, Robin moved out.--
The end? Not yet, but for now and maybe forever. So what next? I think that we are first seeing Ted struggling with his feelings for Robin, he will need quit a time to get back on track. She was the best person fitting to him. That might also be the reason that Marshall said: "Not yet". She was the best person for him till now. But that will change when he meets the mother. He'll hand the money right over to Lily when we see the mother, in my opinion. What about Robin, though? She has moved out. We know that she'll move to the suburbs and - do you remember the last sentence from "Symphony of Illumination", probably not, therefore..."There was one thing your aunt Robin never was - she was never alone" For me this is suggesting that we're going to see her in a relationship soon enough.

So who is the last person to deal with? Barney. Not much to say. We don't know Quinn so well to make any predictions. The next episode will have a lot of movement between them. Finally I'll give you some airing details:
"Karma" 7x18 27.2
"The Broath" 7x19 19.3
"Good Crazy" 7x20 - Not sure yet: Possible dates: 26.3/2.4/9.4

How I Met Your Mother-No Pressure 7x17 Review

Like always a short summary and my short opinion on the new episode:
We ended up with Ted and Robin and that story really continues. She had to go to Moscow, so Ted thought what he could do when she returns. Lily tires to sabotage him and Barney, who woke up in Lily's and Marshall's bed after a hard night on the drunk train he discovers this reason. Seeking for a sex-tape he finds a box for Lily's and Marshall's "Long-Term-Bets".
Is that Marshalls sex-face?
Including also a bet form Lily that Ted and Robin never come together. Ted tells Barney that he thinks Robin loves him. Barney denies it, because Robin chose Kevin earlier. In the end Robin has to move out, because that is the only way he might come over her. But Marshall has a quota left: "It's not over, yet".

Review: Again a 10.- This episode had everthing: Fun, love, Charakter deveopment and a tragic ending. There was nothing to complain about. I liked the sex-tape and the "long-term bets"-jokes they were really good again, not that stupidty form the "Burning Beekeeper"-Episode. There is no more to rate yet, but some more things about the content, stay tuned for tomorrows "How will HIMYM evolve?"

Who is the mother? (2)

If the last theory wasn't that mind blowing enough. This one absolutely will be!

Barney's sister, the kids mother?
The main theory is called "The Carly Whittaker-Theory". So well, lets get to the basic ideas behind it. When Barney meets his actual Dad Jerome Whittaker in the episode "Legendaddy"(S06E19), he got to know his fathers family. But the whole family? No! Jerome says that Barney has got a sister called "Carly", who is attending college right now.

And if you're a hardcore fan, you might been enlightened. Have you? Well, there are a few things that Ted says about their kids mother.

First: He'll  meet her at Barney's meeting, making it very likely to be one of the guest, which his sister would be.

Second: She attends college. From the episode "The Leap" we know, that
the Mother also does, she was even in the same room with Ted.

Third: If she marries Ted and Barney marries Robin, then Robin would literally be their "aunt" and Barney their uncle.

All in all, fans have claimed that this theory, though it's very tricky, seems to be the most likely. Here is my statement to that:

When I heard this theory the first time I was stunned and thought "well that could be really it", but after some thinking there are a few things against it. From the past I've learned that major clues are always given in episodes that are from Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, this episode wasn't. Although the "aunt"-argument is not really good, too.Thats because Lily is also called "aunt" and she has and will have no relation to Ted and the Mother. Nevertheless it is one of the theories that could really happen, so watch out for a girl called "Carly" and don't forget to comment!

How I Met Your Mother-No Pressure 7x17

A sex-tape that's the main story of the next episode.
But not a sex-tape, it's the sex-tape. And Barney is all after it.
Well, I guess you already know, whose it is? Lily's and Marshall's of course.
But that is only one part of the story. We ended up with Ted telling Robin, that he loves her. Her answer or however she'll react in this episode may be confusing but don't be so hopeful, we do already know that they won't be together for a long time, if so.
But I'm sure that this is going to be a funny and maybe surprising episode, although we already know how it'll end.

How will "How I met your mother" evolve? (2)

"Oh my god, this story is still going to take a while", was my first impression after yesterday new episode. The very short summary of this episode: Kevin proposes,  later unpropreses and dumps Robin because of their not-having-a-baby-problem. Barney runs into Quinn, a girl his plays don't work on and he recognises, that she might be the one. But what he doesn't recognise is that she knows him very well, cause she is a stripper. And, the for me most important scene from the night, Ted tells Robin "I love you". But how is this going to continue? Well we now for sure, that she is not the mother of the kids and Ted,so after all he won't marry her. Luckily the content of the next episodes is already leaked, so I'm spoiler'ing right away.
Ted and Robin...again?
1. The thing with Robin won't last very long, but it has to be dealt with it. Why? Remember Victoria's last appearance? She mentioned the one big problem for their relationship. Robin.  They have to get serious and what they are going to do, in the aspect of Ted, won't end so good. For me it's not a big surprise and the right thing. But this will be very hard for Ted. For what I know, in late March there is going to be an episode with Ted dating various women whom are completely different from Robin.

2. The thing with Quinn is going to last long. For what I know till April. But I personally don't thing that Barney will merry her. A relationship with a stripper seems a bit ironic. I still believe he will marry Robin but so far there are now hints for that.

So aren't we just beating around the bush? Is this Ted-Robin a time filler? I don't think so, it's just normal, that after this very long time; after their first relationship Ted has to one last time make sure to himself, that she is not the one. We have now many constellations for the wedding and 8 episodes left in season 7. The next episodes are going to be important. So tune in!

7x17 "No Pressure"(Feb 20th), 7x18 "Karma's Bitch"(Feb 27th) ,7x19 "The Broath"(early March), 7x20 "Good Crazy"(mid march)

How I Met Your Mother - The Drunk Train 7x16 Review

What an episode!
We wanted some movement and we got. So lets get it straight.
First Barney tells about having met a girl, to whom the plays he always does, didn't worked.
Lily and Marshall leave early because they don't want to miss the train before the last one, which is called the drunk train. Barney makes plan to go on that train as soon as they can.
When they are there, they get dumped all the way, because they are to sophisticated for this kind of people. We switch to Vermont, where Lily and Marshall and Robin and Kevin are together for a romantic weekend (as predicted). Lily and Marsh are always telling about "keeping score". It shouldn't been done in a good working relationship. The partners should accept each other and work together. Robin and Kevin, all the way bored, go to they room and make fun about having to get through this. And the suddenly Kevin PROPOSES and, well, Robin says "she doesn't not yet". She first talks to Lily and after explaining that she can't have kids and he accepts this, she says "YES". Totally freaking. Meanwhile Ted and Barney are again in the club. Ted could have meaningless sex with a girl, but doesn't want to. Barney seems to be into Quinn.
Does Barney recognize, that she is a stripper?

And we got to now that Barney was at MIT (unconfirmed). When they ride back with the train and Barney could get laid, he rejects. Quinn seems to be his Valentine. Robin reminds Kevin again that they Never,Ever are going to have kids. After all, Kevin unproposes. In some sort of closing scene we see Ted coming to the roof-top, where Robin is smoking, and tells her and that is again so freaking, that he loves her. We don't get any responses, yet. In the end we see Quinn dancing in a strip-club and talking with a girl about that Barney doesn't recognise her because she's a stripper.
That just a quick summary, more tomorrow!

How I Met Your Mother - The Drunk Train 7x16 Preview

Robin and Kevin, do they really fit together? My personal answer is NO and in Monday's "How I Met Your Mother" all-new episode "The Drunk Train" there will be some movement in their relationship. For good or bad...we'll see. But for what we know this episode will be romantic all-over, well, it's Valentines-Day. And not only Robin and Kevin and Marshall and Lily, also Barney is getting serious again, so are the sources telling. He will meet a woman called  "Quinn" played by Becki Newton. She is assigned for some more episodes (may be the whole season?!) and is playing a huge role in Barneys life. But so far we have no major clues.

Who is Barney's new one?
What about Ted? Any new mother in sight? No, for now the story sticks with Robin and Barney as the ones focused. But that will change, there are some hints that another girl will appear and Ted is going to confess some feelings in the 17th episode. We are now mid-season, what means there is not so much time left for new introducing of important characters and the girl, who Barney is finally marrying or proposing. So stay tuned and lets hope for some great entertaining in Monday's episode of "How I Met Your Mother" (8/7c CBS)

Who is the mother? (1)

For 7 years now, Ted told his kids the story of how he met their mother but what are the known facts about the mother?,like do we know a name? Do the actors know something we don't?

First of all the basic facts about this series. There will be a 8th season but that doesn't mean it'll be the last. But some problems will occur.
-The kids are approximately 15-17 years old, so 2013 will be the year, where we at  least have to meet the mother
-Jason Segel aka "Marshall" just signed for the 8th season and said, he won't sign in for a 9th.

So every post of the series "Who is the mother?" I'll introduce about the mother. Each of them with a short comment and a rating.
1st: The Tracy-Theorie:
In the Episode "Belly full of Turkey" Ted goes to a strip-club and meets a girl called "Tracy", who is impressed, that Ted payed a lap-dance for a hobo. When she introduced herself, Future Ted says to his kids..."And this is the true Story of how i met your mother". When the kids are shocked, he reveals, that is was just a joke. But for a second the kids fall for that. So, some think that "Tracy" might be the actual name of the mother.
Rating: This theory seems very likely at the first look, because the kids know their mothers name. But the fact that Tracy called herself "Amber" first and later told Ted her true name, could have confused the kids. So actual it may be just the context and they didn't even have the time to say something like "my mothers name isn't Tracy"...Also the writers of the episode (Phil Lord & Chris Miller) never appeared again, they were only guest-writers. My conclusion:
Not very believable.

So if we don't have a plan, do the actors have some sort of idea? Check out this vid...

It won't be a nice first post if I wouldn't tell you, that actually some actors know the identity of the mother. Who and Why? There was always the problem that Lyndsey Fonseca and David Henrie are growing up. So in the middle of season 2 they shot a scene directly relating to the mother with only the Director, a cameraman and the two main authors being present, so actually they have had a plan since the first season...so lets hope they have found a good conclusion how it'll end.

The Buring Beekeeper 7x15 - Review

Watched the new "How I Met Your Mother" Episode?
Here is a very short synopsis.
Marshall and Lily throw a housewarming-party. Mickey has a new hobby, bee-keeping therefore has 10.000 bees down the basement. When the party starts the whole thing goes wrong in 5 minutes and we are seeing this room-by-room. Ted argues with Mr. Coots (guest star Martin Short did a great job) about the spring rolls;
Did Ted eat the Spring Rolls?

Barney hits on a girl, who has cut of a man's penis before and Lily tries to rescue everything but fails, because of some problems, like the mice on the cheese. To test a new hobby Mr. Coots tries out the Beekeeping-Suit, opens the oven, goes aflame and runs outside. He admits, that this was the best thing he has done for a long time, but he forgot to close the basement door, so the bees escaped their enclosure. The episode ends with Barney, who wants to escape from the bedroom after having sex with the girl, but is trapped because of the bees flying around. Finally he still runs through the house screaming.

My opinion: I think this was again a very good and mainly amusing episode. We don't get to know so much more about the whole story. It was "gap filler"-episode. The way of telling the story was well chosen and a refreshing variation form the normal standard way of telling it. It was for me something like a "The Playbook"-episode. We had great ideas and some great entertaining. What appears sad for me, is that the Long-Island thing seems to be clear now and we won't see them in McLarens again so often. Although I expected some development of characters, because Carter Bays & Craig Thomas wrote this episode. But I can tell for sure that in the following episodes there is much, very much going to happen.
So stay tuned and comment!

How will "How I met your mother" evolve? Part 1

Who will Barney marry?
To say it with Ted's words: "We are totally, almost-not really all that close to the end". But we are close to the end of season 7 and still don't have a clue who Barney is going to marry, haven't we? Okay, we all want to see Robin and Barney at the altar, but the authors played with us for some episodes (especially those in November) and then showed, that this won't happen. Remember the episode "The Rebound Girl"? Ted and Barney adopted a baby. It showed the huge wish in Barney for having a baby. Therefore you most understand Barney's psychology. In the episode "Not-a-fathers day" he celebrates for not being a father. But deep inside it's exactly what he wishes.
In psych-slang known as counteraction.
So let's get back to the episodes. It ends with Robin, saying: "I'm pregnant". She left us with who and how...
But in the following episode we got to know, that she was wrong, even worse, she can't get pregnant. So does that mean Barney and Robin won't get married because of that?
Ted with the "adopted" baby
I think, although the Barney-Robin-forever lovers are going to hate me for that, this is plausible, but how knows? Please comment, maybe you've got a strong argument in favor? And tune in for the next Episodes ("The Burning Barkeeper",Mo. 6th and "The Drunk Train" Mo.13th 8/7c CBS)

How I Met Your Mother-The Burning Beekeeper 7x15

How is the Burning Beekeeper?

Tomorrows "How I Met Your Mother" is going to enlighten us.
The main plot is set at Lily's and Marshall's new home in the suburbs, where they throw a housewarming party. And trust me this will be the hottest party you'll ever see. Barney, as always, gets laid. Marshall's boss goes crazy and last but not least Lily's father is aflame. If you wanna know the exact circumstances tune in at 8/7c. But what about the best Canadian ever, Robin? She is getting back in an old saddle at "WorldWide News".So what else could there be...Of course Super Bowl. Remember the old Episodes? This is definitely playing a role. Don't miss it.
